Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 23, 2008, 6:34 AM
Guess it's been a while since the last journal post. I ended up finding two books that discuss the type of coloring style I was interested in.

One of the books is an all around good book for coloring in general, "Hi-Fi Color for Comics" by Brian and Kristy Miller.

The other one, which is good too...but older and harder to find, is "How to Color for Comics" by Guru-eFX. Although this one seems to have more of an anime/manga flavor.

Hopefully I'll learn some stuff to apply to future works.

Reminder: Sorry, I do not take commissions.

I'm usually up for colabs though depending on timing.

I've got Hi-Fi Coloring. It's solid, unless you're working on a book that doesn't want that style of coloring.

Due, you're like, alive and stuff. How have you been?

Anyway, I'm going to look into getting those books. Always up for learning more.

good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see!
Yeah, but I think it still discusses some good basics, regardless of the style you're after.
How have I been? Well, alive. :P Just making it through one day at a time.

You?
I got the Guru one off of Amazon, though now they say 3-6 weeks for delivery.

The other book, which I think might be better, is more widely available.
Absolutely. It's an excellent resource, hands down.
